Earnest G. Welch School of Art and Design Logo Ideas

Presidential Campaign Logos

Just a quick exploration of how I would brand these two canidates. I made Mitt Romney's logo conservative but still rounded, so it is inviting. I wanted it to show movement since we have felt stuck as a nation so Mitt will get the money moving. Hence the shooting golden star.

For Obama, his name is special enough to not include Barrack in the logo. I wanted his to be heavier and sharper than in the past to show that this time around he will be more of a presence and more decisive. I continued his O motif since it was so well done before and people already identify with it. I wanted it to show that the sun of new hope is still rising. Hence the tagline, "keep hope alive".

Personal Ads for Primal Screens

I would love to intern at Primal Screen. I love the work they do over there. So I created these two ads to advertise myself to them in order to exercise my advertising muscle. They do motion and interactive design...or "design for every screen" and focus on but are not limited to design for young folks. Both of which I am interested in so I designed ads based on those two attributes.

Ralph Lauren 4D Projection Mapping Show, Berlin

This is not new but it is amazing what a projector can do. Graphic design plus technology really brings magic to life.

An example of the Marriage of editing, sound and content

A Study of Legs

The piece linked above is a great example of the power of the right combination of sound, editing and content. Each by themselves would be much less interesting but with these elements composed in this piece, it creates such an individual experience.

Presentation by my new hero Kyle Cooper

I found a presentation by Kyle Cooper, the guy who shook the film title world with his many pieces such as "Se7en". I thought it was helpful and relevent to our current project: See him here

Skate It or Hang It Beginning Sketches

Here are my beginning concise notes and sketches for the Skate It or Hang It exhibit. This is only the very beginning, much more to come. I think I've done a good bit of research so I can start really producing variations and ideas for exploration.

Catch Me if You Can

This title sequence has a lot of inspiration for my White Collar posters. There are a lot of similarites, even the color scheme. It is one of my favorite title sequences also. Never gets old. It is also done in a Saul Bass style.
